On a regular basis MomMD conducts an informal survey of all medical schools (MD and DO) in the US and Canada. Each school is asked to answer a series of questions that may assist a student in deciding whether or not that school is 'family friendly'. This is not a list of approved family friendly medical schools. A medical school may be family friendly but choose not to respond to the survey, or a medical school may NOT be family friendly, but did respond to the survey. It is not meant for comparison between schools, each survey should be considered on an individual basis as each school may collect/report data in a different way. Schools were asked to provide information for the most recent year of entry (or specify another time period). Some questions were open to the school's interpretation (for example, their definition of non-traditional student). Any questions regarding answers to this survey should be sent directly to the medical school. School not listed? Is your school family friendly and not on the list? Not all schools responded to the survey. If you are a representative of a medical school not listed here and would like to submit your data to MomMD, please contact us for more information. If you are a student or potential medical student and would like to see your school added to the survey, please email them and ask a school official to submit their medical school.
