Dental-Mom – I wrote a similar reply, not knowing anything about the program she mentioned. I checked it out, and it’s an early-decision program you apply to in your sophomore year of college. They require no physics or calculus, and only one year of chemistry, I think. They also do not accept the MCAT. So, I think she means should she take those classes to do well in med school, not to get INTO med school. (And, since she would know her sophomore year if she had gotten into the Mt. Sinai program, she could always take the other requirements later if she has to apply to other schools.)

I never knew such a program existed, but it sounds pretty cool… except I don’t know how they can be sure they’ll get people who can succeed in med school. It must work, though, if a place like Mt. Sinai keeps it going.
