oops! I got the info from my father, I guess my facts were wrong. Anyway, I really think the biggest problem is with all the frivilous lawsuits–and the lawyers who encourage them. I wonder if there is any way to tax them to subsidize malpractice? Something has to give or soon there will be mass shortages of doctors. We are the only group I know of who has their expenses go up without the ability to increase their income. Someone asked me recently what I charge for a visit–I had no idea! I just take what I can get from the insurance companies and have no say/choice in the matter!
