hey there
is there any other university nearby that may offer a non cal based physics? I would try that if you can.
Also, I used to freeze up with physics. I hated it. Until I really tried to enjoy it and pay close attention in class. Also, going to office hours really, really helped. I also found physics 2 to be easier than physics 1 (Physics 2 was all about electricity, circuits, etc) so to me it seemed more applicable. Actually I never thought the day would come where I said I used physics, but I took neurobiology this fall and a lot of concepts from physics 2 seemed to help me with it (when thinking of ion conductances, using Ohms law, nernst and goldman etc)…
