I HAVE A SEAT IN MED SCHOOL BUT I AM ALMOST 30 AND MARRIED 1 1/2 YRS. I HAVE NO CHILDREN YET BUT I KNOW THEY ARE IMPORTANT TO MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED PLEASE. HE SAYS WHATEVER DECISION I MAKE IS FINE BUT I KNOW THAT HE WANTS THEM. I LOVE MEDICINE BUT NOT AT THE PRICE OF A GOOD LOVING HUSBAND. I ALSO DONT WANT TO END UP RESENTFUL OF CHILDREN THAT INFRINGED ON A DREAM COME TRUE. HAVE I JUST WAITED TOO LATE??
Go to medical school if you have been accepted (congratulations!)and want to go. You are lucky you also seem to have a supportive husband. Read through the threads on this forum and you will read about alot of women who have children and are in medical school or practicing medicine. Maybe this will help you decide what to do. Everyone here has had the same questions as you and the timing of when to have kids during med school and residency has also been discussed.
