I’m newbie and have questions

I feel like I don’t have anything super to set me apart in med school. Like, I never volunteered with doctors without borders, or created a nonprofit, or did missionary work in a third world country. I am a nurse with a really good GPA from my BSN, and I volunteer at an animal shelter, but that’s about all I do. (trying to get into some research, but who knows if I’ll be able to). Anyone else? Do I need something super-amazing?
