Intro & need advice to make a critical decision….

Hi everyone,

I’m a 32-year old wife and engineer working in chemical manufacturing facility. I’ve been thinking to go to medical school for a long time, but really difficult to make this critial decision of my life…

Very fortunately, after talking to my husband, I have his fully support on this. However, for no reason, I feel so reluctant to give up my current job and just go for it.

Can anyone give me some advices? How do you know it’s a calling from my inner self? Or I’m just going through some phases of my life?

Hi YuJu, and welcome! Take some time to read the posts, especially on premed forum. You will see many points of view and stories of women who have made the decision to pursue medicine a bit later than average. (like myself!)
It’s never easy to give up something you know for something unknown, but it’s worth the risk in this case!
