Looking for a mentor in North Shore LI area

I am 32 yrs old and starting the pre-med courses this fall. I went to law school and practiced for 6+ yrs. I had a baby boy 5 months ago and in my time at home I realized that I want to pursue the dream that I have always had: of becoming a Dr. I actually took all the required science classes in college [over ten yrs ago] and my grades need improvement. Thats why I am re-taking the courses this fall.
I am in the Huntington area of Long Island and would love to have a mentor to perhaps shadow and advise me. My husband is a Dr. but I don’t think that would work [shadowing him!].
