Looking for a mentor in the Bradenton FL area

Hi
I am a 32 year old mother of three, originally from England. I moved to Florida four years ago when my husband was transferred here. After graduating from college with a bachelors degree in Human Biology, I taught high school Biology and Chemistry for 5 years. Upon arrival in Florida I decided to take a career break to be at home with my children. I am now beginning the long process of preparing to apply to med school so that I can follow my dream of becoming a physician. I hope to attend USF in Jan to take the courses I will need to fulfill the pre-requisites and I am beginning to prepare myself to take the MCAT. I am hoping to secure some voluntary work in the ER of a local hosptial, but I would really appreciate having a mentor to shadow or even to advise me . The more advice and experience I can get the better. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
