This morning, I stumbled the web site of Doctors for Dean . I had heard he had some smart ideas about medical malpractice reform and thought I would check it out. The site made me wonder what you all think…
Does the fact that Howard Dean is a doctor affect your opinion of him? Do you think having a doctor (not necessarily Dean, but any doctor crazy enough to run for president) in the White House is a good thing or a bad thing? Do you think doctors share certain qualities that might make them better or worse presidents than non-docs?
In my mind, the best thing about Howard Dean is that his wife has continued to carry on her medical practice. Regardless of what the American voters think, he must think that that is fine.
I also like his health care policies a lot. It keeps much of what can work with the current system, but gets many of the uninsured into the system. We are all just one severe illness away from being uninsured.
