undergraduate schools affiliated with med school

hi,
i live in pennsylvania and am hoping to get into a medical school and match into a residency in philadelphia. most of my family is there and since i am a single mom, it will be a big help with childcare. i am currently enrolled in a community college, once i finish my two years i will transfer to a four year university. what i am wondering is once i decide which school is my first choice, should i try to attend the university affiliated with it. currently the cc i attend has dual admission agreements with temple university and drexel. do the medical schools give preference to students who attended the undergraduate program at their university?

Depends on the school. I would recommend that you call the admissions office(s) and ask them.

I’m guessing that they’ll tell you that going to their undergrad won’t necesarily help you get into their med school.
