$10,936.00  - $16,184.00  per month

The Medical Consultant reviews and interprets medical and other evidence      submitted by physicians and other sources to assist in determining an applicant’s eligibility for disability benefits.  This position is ideal for medical  professionals looking to transition out of clinical setting and/or begin a second career.  The     position offers:

  • Prorated reimbursement of medical license renewal fees and CME training costs with yearly stipend
  • Flexible schedule, full or part-time, Monday through Friday, without on-call duties

Position may be available at the following locations:

Covina, Glendale, Los Angeles,  Oakland, Roseville, San Diego, Stockton, Fresno, Sacramento, and

Rancho Bernardo.

 

Qualification

 

Possession of a valid certificate in Psychiatry issued by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, or eligibility for examination for such a certificate as evidenced by a written statement from the Secretary of either Board. (Applicants who are in the process of establishing specialty board eligibility will be admitted to the examination but the required verification must be submitted before appointment.).

 

One year of experience in the practice of psychiatry exclusive of the internship.
