As a not-for-profit organization, Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland operates two continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), Westminster, MD and Ellicott City, MD.We are currently seeking Registered Nurse Supervisors for our Westminster, MD community to work one of the following shifts: Evening 3pm-11pm, Nights 11pm-7am or Weekends 7pm-7am. Carroll Lutheran Village (CLV) Registered Nurse Supervisors are a central part of an interdisciplinary team of clinicians that delivers quality care and support in accordance with the individualized plan of care to ensure the continuity of care for our residents.   • What you will Do:
  • Provide direction and accountability to the nursing team and certify ongoing compliance with regulations and clinical policies.
  • Oversee a group of inpatient senior residents (census dependent on state laws) with the support of PCTs to conduct observations and measure stats
  • Develop work schedules with adequate staff for each shift to ensure there are enough nurses on hand to provide physician support and patient care
  • Manage nursing team to ensure direct care to patients, communication of diagnosis and treatment plans with senior resident patient families
  • Consistently evaluate the nursing team, organizational policy assessment and patient file management
  • Ensure the highest-level in-patient care is delivered by the nursing team
  • Maintain strong communication with Interdisciplinary nursing team and physicians

Qualification

  • What You Need to Be Successful:
  • Must be licensed in the state of Maryland
  • Previous experience as a Nurse Supervisor in a CCRC environment preferred
  • Ability to maintain a firm foundation in health care policy, to enforce all relevant regulations and rules
  • Ability to leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge
  • Must possess a strong desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way
  • Experience assessing, trouble shooting and making sound recommendations in stressful situations
  • Excellent communication skills to listen and communicate with senior and teammates
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
  • Time management skills
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work as assigned
  • Experience assessing, trouble shooting and making sound recommendations in stressful situations
  • Excellent communication skills to listen and communicate with senior and teammates
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
  • Must have superb organizational management and time management skills
  • Must be able to work one of the following shifts: Evening 3pm-11pm, Nights 11pm-7am or Weekends 7pm-7am as assigned*All new team members will need to receive a COVID-19 vaccine within the first 90 days of hire.E.O.E.
